I would be a good nanny because I have been around children for all 20 of my years. My mom has run an in-home-daycare since I was born. I have babysat for different families for the last 8 years and love children. I have compassion for them and have plenty of energy to play with the kids. I love to see the world through a child’s eye. They are so imaginative and willing to try and learn new things. I enjoy going places with kids such as the library, zoo, water parks, parks, museums, and movies to name a few. I like playing board games or card games or simply opening up a coloring book. I like to cook and love to include kids in the cooking process when possible. There are so many daily activities that if done right can teach a child so much. Going to the grocery store can teach a child how to look for fresh produce and teach math skills at the same time. I like to let kids explore the world around them in a safe environment where they can have fun but are still safe. Finger painting, painting with objects or even ice painting during the summer is fun for kids of all ages. Filling containers and hearing the sound the container makes with different amounts of filling or seeing how much a container can hold is a neat experiment. I love to read and encourage reading during infancy throughout the teenage years.
